Fourth Annual Photo Picnic Party! Food, fun and photos awaited families again this year when The Whipple Group staged its fourth annual Free Family Portrait Picnic on Sunday, September 15th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at El Dorado Park West, Willow Grove. More than 150 neighbors joined at this picturesque location to eat, play and celebrate home in Long Beach. No picnic is complete without burgers, dogs and all the fixin’s, and they were in ample supply, along with festival treats like churros and cotton candy. Little ones delighted in the deluxe bounce house, face painting and coloring station, while attendees of all ages enjoyed dancing and hula-hooping to the DJ, tossing water balloons and stacking blocks in the giant Jenga tower.  The highlight of the event was, as always, the opportunity for guests to have professional portraits made al fresco. Local photographer Veronica Guzman captured family and friend groups in all combinations, including grandbabies and fur babies, as they posed for photos on cozy furnishings with the park’s duck pond as backdrop. Videographer Merve Tekin was also on hand to record the day’s activities. Participants retrieved photos and video via an online gallery following the event. Beatrix Whipple, Realtor and CEO of The Whipple Group, says she saw a need for busy families and people to get their holiday portraits taken, and she was inspired to create a fun and inclusive annual event around that need. The Portrait Picnic reflects The Whipple Group’s essence as a real estate group by bringing value to clients and community alike. Whipple says she and her team look forward to this yearly opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. “My vision for the event is a fun, community party where people come to have a great afternoon with their friends and family, getting to know others from the community and getting great family portraits.
